Today has been an oddball kinda day. It started off with the bad news of a friends death. He was not only a teacher but a good friend.
Later in the day, our kids were in a jumper at a family fun day church festival and the air came out of it and collapsed around our little ones. There were 5 kids under 5 and the baby of the group was furthest from our reach. It was such a panicky situation because all kids and one mom got stuck in the tiny hole to exit. I tried to hold the entire thing up as I watched the young baby disappear under the jumper. His mom dove in through the hole, crushing the kids already in it and thankfully pulled out the baby. All safe with only my baby girl with a busted lip, but it left such a lasting impression in my mind I (or my daughter for that matter) haven't shaken.
Then on the way home after dropping my oldest with her dad, my youngest and I got run off to the side of the freeway by a semi caring giant piggies. All I saw was us and them lying on the side of the road.
And to end it all, Osama Bin Laden was killed.
You know even with death all around, a message from church was reinforced today..."the blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power" it was marked over the doorways and it covered many from death. Jesus' sacrifice has covered us. And it NEVER loses its power. I never felt that message so strong like I did today.
"the blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power"
